A Needed Blog In These Uncertain Times
I ‘d like to see Un-Deadspin’s take on this piece: When sports start back, let the ladies go initially
I have actually visualized a universe complete of wealth redistribution; dreamed of starting from scratch and rebuilding the sports-entertainment complex from the ground up; wanted for a brand-new world order, one where females’s sports get simply as much government handouts as their male counterparts.
But I keep coming back to one thing: In the pre-coronavirus world, guys’s sports got years worth of head starts over women’s sports. What if, in a post-coronavirus world, we reverse that order?
Do not stress, I’m not proposing decades without males’s sports. I’m proposing, like, a month. A month where the billions of fans and tv networks and sponsors and advertisers who are all entirely starved for live sports of any kind just have the choice of enjoying females’s sports.

Deadspin Is a Bad Website
Epic pandemic is the best/worst time to attempt a resurgence ever. Especially given that they picked to double down on the sports-only coverage.

YES. This is fantastic news!
I have actually been following the news from the LG Twins(KBO, South Korea’s Pro baseball league) and it sounds like their season will be starting quickly. If I can’t cheer on my MN Twins, I’ll cheer on the other Twins worldwide.

The weird thing is, they don’t seem to have really done that? As the short article explains, a number of these articles might have appeared on real Deadspin, they simply most likely would have been written/edited much better, and not by scabs. It truly does seem like the herb had a specific issue/specific problems with the existing personnel (or possibly simply Petchesky and Greenwell?) and decided to force them out and after that attempt to keep doing the exact same thing Deadspin has always done. The most generous read is that Spanfeller thought the other authors would be too scared to simply leave, so it would be safe to dislodge Barry and Megan. Still idiotic, however a minimum of there’s a germ of just basic capitalist asshole thinking, instead of “We purchased a good idea and burned it to the ground simply to feel something.”

The anti-herb (or at least post-herb) sportsblog, now brought to you by a much cooler herb.

The one outside sport I can believe of that’s managing to rather flourish under lockdown is motor racing.
Well, along those lines, basically all the sports big enough to have their video games are doing this. Almost every soccer team on the planet is having FIFA tournaments. In the MLS, there were currently an eSport member on every team, so establishing the existing competition with both actual/eSport player tracks was quite easy.
Likewise, the best part of FIFA/The Show/NBA2kX/Madden is that you don’t require the costly I-Racing setup so everyone could do it immediately.

My point was that for people who like to VIEW sports, it is amusing to see professional racers sitting in a living room cockpit come as close as they can get to live racing, and racing versus expert e-sports motorists who race in their living rooms for a living, as well as versus stars (golfers, footballers, and so on) who are signing up with in the enjoyable.

Oooh, the NFL draft is this week, and if we can get a Jamboroo out of this, I’ll be delighted.
And yes, VichySpin is a terrible, horrible site. I visited as soon as, out of morbid curiosity. Dull clickbaity headlines, dull writing, and no remarks. It’s the site correct Deadspin used to make fun of, soulless takes for the sake of takes, sports written about separated of any higher connection to the world. And it seems Spanfeller is continuing his terrific work of gutting what’s left of GMG, with more layoffs, while the executives have actually taken a largely useless 10%paycut. Fucking herb.
